Why does my filtered water taste strange?

AQUAMEGA_WQA_CERTIFICATE.PNG

Coway’s Aquamega have been tested and certified by WQA (Water Quality Association) according to NSF/ANSI 42 and 53 for the reduction of the substances listed below and NSF/ANSI 372 for the lead free compliance.

- NSF 42 (Reduction of Chlorine, Chloramine, etc.)
- NSF 53 (Reduction of VOC / Volatile Organic Compounds, Lead, Mercury, Cyst, Turbidity, etc.
- NSF 372 (Lead free compliance)

Aquamega has the advantage of high water flower rate and runs on Carbon filters which might leave some substances that can cause unpleasant taste. However, it’s still able to filter out at least 99% of substances in the water.

Another cause for unpleasant tasting water is irregular filter replacement. The replacement time frame for the Aquamegas are as follows:
Aquamega 100 = Every 6 months
Aquamega 200C = Every 3 months
