My Airmega's always detecting low levels of pollution (high PM or high VOCs)
Possible reasons:
- The air is clean. PM is expected to be set to 0 (<1) or to show blue on the device if the air is clean.
- The sensor module filter is clogged with dust. This may happen if the device has been running for a long time in a polluted environment.
Actions:
Test the sensor:
- Please open the AQI sensor cap, blow the breath strongly 2-3 times directly into the AQI Sensor
PLEASE KNOW:
"Making dust" by shaking a cloth or similar may often not trigger the PM sensor as the typical household is too large.
Expected result: AQI sensor color values are expected to change
If the values are still indicated as low:
- Try vacuuming the sensor and testing again.
Expected result: After this action, you should see a change in AQI color values. If the values are still low and stuck to Good, please contact the Cowaymega Customer Support teams.
